Why sponsor a child? There are the obvious reasons. ..it may provide an education, food, and/or shelter for a child in need; perhaps access to healthcare or other resources; maybe it answers a call to duty or action. But, the most glorious reason is that it provides HOPE and is an avenue for sharing Christ!
We saw this so clearly last March. One woman decided to sponsor one child. Rose shared with Estivens that because of Jesus he now had a sponsor. We literally watched him blossom before our eyes. A once solemn child suddenly felt a little more free. Sponsorship means so much more to these kids than we can ever really fathom. HOPE…the best reason of all!
