Djeffte (17 years old, 8th grade, on the left) and Luiggi (15 years old, 7th grade) are the proud recipients of an educational scholarship from First United Methodist Church in Washington, NC. They are pictured here with Patty Vore on the left and Cecilia Ashley, both of First UMC. The ladies have known the boys for 7 years. It’s always such a blessing when the children and sponsors can spend time together. Children in Haiti often start school late or they advance sporadically due to a lack of funds. Thank you Patty, Cecilia, and First UMC for being part of the “village” by helping make education a reality and dreams come true!
