We have 30 children living in the home and some of them are “aging out” despite still being in school. We have already secured the property to build transitional housing that will serve as a home where the older children can learn life skills and prepare for the future while completing their education, either in traditional or trade school settings. As is the custom in Haiti, a wall has been built around the property and gates have been installed for security. Funds have already been provided for the concertina wire that will be installed on top of the wall and the well that will provide fresh water.
We are now ready for the next phase of building the first house. We estimate the cost to be $10,000 for this first home and we hope to start building in March 2021. Any donations received in excess of $10,000 will go toward building the second home.
