Transitional Housing Update – The gate is up!!! The driveway transition is now being poured. And our upcoming team (October 1 – 9, 2019) will get to work on the septic! How great is that!?! (I never thought I’d say that!!)
Shout out to First UMC in Havelock for raising funds for the well! Thank you to all who have joined us along the way in working toward a future for these children!! We anticipate needing $25K more to complete the first phase that includes the septic, concertina wire for the wall, and the first house.
Our teenagers are getting in on the act by helping clean up the property! We can’t wait to see everyone in October!
(This property will serve as a training ground for our older children who have aged out of the children’s home. They will be able to learn life skills and prepare for the future while completing their education.)
